It’s not “goodbye,” but rather “thank you, and see you again soon!”
Coco Jarry’s in downtown Renfrew is closing down for now as owner Nick Karavidas heads into semi-retirement.
General Manager Stephanie Miller was emotional recounting the 38 years Coco Jarry’s has been part of community.
Service will continue from Thursday, June 30th through the weekend, but will wrap up after the doors close on Sunday, July 3rd. The focus after that will be on friends, family, and tending to the family olive gardens overseas.
Miller tells myFM that Karavidas will import the oil and sell it locally at Pura Vida on Stewart Street.
Coco Jarrys is expected to return part time later in the year, but as Miller tells us it’ll be a far more intimate space as part of the restaurant is being converted into commercial space.
If you’re hungry this weekend, Miller says there might be just a few spaces left as their reservation book has been packed since the closing announcement.
