Now, much of the evidence of the existence of the Canadian National Railroad in the community has disappeared.
Arnprior Mayor Walter Stack contrasts this with the thriving Algonquin Trail on former CP Rail lands.
The Mayor say CN sold its holdings holus-bolus.
Stack says some of the CN Rail line property became overgrown and unsightly.
Elected representatives discussed parting ways with the remaining municipally-owned segments of the CN Trail at the municipal meeting May 24th.
