Four charges have been laid against a resident of Petawawa after a traffic stop revealed cocaine in their vehicle.
The OPP Community Street Crime Unit and patrol officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment made the stop on Highway 17 in Cobden during the early morning of June 2nd.
Upon inspecting the car, police tell myFM they found cocaine and cash. Both were seized by police while the suspect was taken into custody.
37-year-old Tyler Lee Gates of Petawawa faces charges of:
- possession of a schedule one substance with the purpose of trafficking,
- trafficking a schedule one substance,
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000,
- and failure to comply.
Gates was later released. They have a date in a Pembroke courtroom on July 19th.
