The OPP will not be at Renfrew Collegiate Institute (RCI) tomorrow.
This comes after concerning graffiti was found at the high school in Renfrew this week and police attended on Tuesday.
In a letter to parents and guardians this afternoon (June 7th, 2022), the local school board says, the OPP continue their investigation and feel there is no need for police presence at the school on Wednesday.
The Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) says they have no further information to share at this time, a recommendation from the OPP.
The RCDSB says the safety of our school community is our top priority and we continue to work closely with the OPP and community partners to keep our school safe.
Classes and school activities will continue as scheduled Wednesday, June 8th, 2022.
