Whitewater Region will be saying farewell to it’s Township’s Chief Administrative Officer.
Robert Tremblay is leaving after nearly six years handling the town’s planning, operations, and policy to take on a similar role in Renfrew starting June 27th.
Tremblay tells myFM that he’s proud of the work he and his team in Whitewater Region have done for the community.
Some of Tremblay’s fondest memories since he took over the role in Whitewater Region in late 2016 come from smaller projects, such as the redevelopment of Little Lakes Park.
Meanwhile, Tremblay says he’s already found a home in Renfrew and is in the process of moving in. He sees some welcome similarities between the two neighouring townships.
A committee of senior town staff had worked together on Renfrew’s planning, operations and policy before the Tremblay hire, but he says the CAO model is the current standard for municipalities.
The Chief Administrative Officer is also responsible for spearheading both long and short term projects for the town, like the Ma-Te-Way Activity Centre expansion.
