
At first blush you may question why a boy from Deep River would site his campaign headquarters in Arnprior, but the NDP’s Kurt Stoll says it’s about the future.
Campaign Manager Dorian Pearce says the party ran a textbook campaign; a well-organized effort with more door-knocking, more voter contact and more volunteers than the NDP had ever mounted in Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke, and Stoll echoes that sentiment.
So what did Stoll hear when he went door-knocking?
Kurt Stoll’s campaign finished a distant second to winner John Yakabuski.
The NDP garnered 17 percent support locally, in an election that saw low voter turnout province-wide.
