If you own an iPhone, and are a patient with Arnprior Regional Health or affilated Ottawa Hospitals, as of today you can access your health records right there on your smart phone screen.
The Health Records feature is part of the Health app, which also shows activity, heart rate, nutrition and other health data.
The Apple integration feature is available (as of today/May 12th) for patients of Arnprior Regional Health, Bruyère, Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital, Glengarry Memorial Hospital, Montfort and Queensway Carleton Hospital.
Health Records creates a direct connection between medical institutions and a patient’s iPhone, allowing download and/or viewing of allergies, conditions, immunizations, lab results, medications, procedures and vitals.
The mechanism will even send Update alerts.
You’ll need credentials to access “Connected Care”, a free online patient portal, powered by MEDITECH, that enables patients to access their patient information securely from their own device.
Every security precaution available helps protect your data, while providing ease of access.
