Although Arnprior Council completed its April schedule of municipal meetings live in chamber for the first time in two years, second thoughts are allowing for a hybrid meeting model for elected representatives, beginning in May.
That’s Mayor Walter Stack, who says the premise is to allow for the minimum legal number of representatives to be at the meeting in person.
Stack says the hybrid model, with the restrictions imposed, will allow for councillors to attend if they are out-of-town on business or absent for personal reasons.
All municipalities are examining their meeting structures after being forced to meet electronically for two years due to the pandemic.
