A public hearing will be held on May 5th for residents of the Township of Admaston/Bromley to speak their mind on a by-law amendment pertaining to cannabis production.
The amendment would add cannabis-specific definitions to the current by-law, as well as define required setback distances for grow-ops, and set other requirements for security fencing, minimum yard requirements, and maximum space for cultivation and production.
Recently, a grow-op that sprung up inside an old Pepsi plant on Highway 132 sparked concerns from neighbouring residents.
The hearing is at 6:30PM on May 5th, and will be held at the Township’s office, 477 Stone Road in Renfrew. You must RSVP to attend, do so by emailing the Township of Admaston/Bromley.
The draft for the by-law amendment can be found on the Township’s website.
