The Provincial Election hasn’t been called, so there are still no registered candidates, but the Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke NDP is about to tap Kurt Stoll as its standard bearer in the June Ontario vote.
The official nod comes in a ZOOM nominating convention with Deep River’s Kurt Stoll the sole and acclaimed candidate following tonight’s session.
Stoll was born and raised in rural Saskatchewan, and would like to see Ontario’s Provincial Government paying more attention to rural priorities.
Kurt has been a project manager in mining, agricultural and nuclear fields following an education at Lakehead and McMaster Universities over his two decades in Ontario.
He has worked in nuclear research and development since 2018.
The NDP locally believes, as do New Democrats across Ontario, that their party is best positioned to challenge Doug Ford for the reins of government in the Province; and given the uncertainty the Premier has caused, that people are ready for change.
