This year will mark 100-years at the Pembroke Golf Club, which was established in 1922. Owner Dan Shields says golf season hasn’t started at the course along the Ottawa River in Pembroke, but he hopes to be up and running early next week if the weather cooperates.
For their 100th anniversary, Shields says they are looking forward to some big celebrations including a birthday bash in the middle of July.
Shields says most of the original holes can be found on the front nine and adds it became an 18 hole course sometime in the 1980’s.
The owner at the Pembroke Golf Course says they are excited to see some old faces and welcome some new golfers out as they celebrate their 100th anniversary.
