The community will have a chance to voice their thoughts, opinions and how they’ve been impacted by a triple homicide in Renfrew County. On September 22nd of 2015, Carol Culleton, Anastasia Kuzyk and Nathalie Warmerdam were murdered by Basil Borutski. myFM spoke with Pamela Cross who is leading the upcoming community consultation process and says residents will have an opportunity to share at one of four upcoming sessions.
Online forms are available for those who don’t want to attend the sessions in-person. Cross understands this will be difficult for many people and says all information will be confidential and names will be kept out of the upcoming inquest.
Cross says evidence collected from the community consultations will be presented during the inquest. The purpose of this inquest is to look at the circumstances of the deaths of Carol, Anastasia and Nathalie to see how to prevent something similar from happening again in the future.
Cross tells myFM the inquest is confirmed in Pembroke for June 4th and will run about three weeks. Members of the jury will be drawn from the community.
