Work on the expansion project at the Ma-Te-Way Activity Centre is coming along smoothly and you can expect an Open House to be held in the near future.
That’s according to Kevin Hill, Director of Parks, Recreation and Facilities for the Town of Renfrew, who is optimistic about the time frame of the work to be done moving forward.
He notes that there were some delays to the project due to cold weather this winter, but explains that the possibilities for delays were understood by all parties involved. The foundation for the new addition to the MAC is set to be complete by the end of March, and the project as a whole is still on schedule to be done by the end of the year.
In the meantime, Hill says that the Town is planning to host an Open House to give the community a chance to hear and see more about the project as it’s being built.
Hill adds that the general contractor for the project, Buttcon, will also be offering an update on the project at the Open House.
No official date has been set yet, Hill says you can expect it sometime in Late April.
