Today is International Women’s Day and this year the theme is Break the Bias.
There’s a virtual event taking place this afternoon featuring several women in the Ottawa Valley.
Guest speakers including Renfrew County Warden and Laurentian Valley Reeve Debbie Robinson, the Dean of Algonquin College Waterfront Campus in Pembroke Dr. Keltie Jones, Heather Jobe with the Ontario SPCA Renfrew County Animal Centre, Valerie Hyska from Your Independent Grocer in Petawawa and Colleen Sutherland with DC Foresight Financial Services Inc.
Dialogue facilitator and Board President of the Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce, Cyndi Mills will explore how these incredible local women #BreakTheBias each and every day.
The event is free and runs from noon to 1:30pm on March 8th and you can register online here.
