The OPP have laid charges against a resident from New Brunswick after a trespassing incident in Arnprior.
Police say on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022, officers became aware of an individual who had unlawfully gained entry to federally owned property, located on Baskin Drive and Bev Shaw Parkway in the Town of Arnprior.
Renfrew OPP attended the location around 10:00am and told the individual to leave under authority of the Trespass to Property Act.
The individual, as well as several other people who had also arrived at the location, voluntarily left the site.
Police say one person returned to the site at a later time and have charged 34-year-old Wayne Narvey of McNamee, New Brunswick with two counts of obstructing a peace officer and two counts of mischief.
The accused remains in custody with a court appearance set for Tuesday, March 8th, 2022.
