The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is reporting four additional people have died from COVID-19 in the last seven days. The detailed case summary released this afternoon (February 17th, 2022), shows 17 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 including three in the intensive care unit (ICU). That number is down significantly from last week when there was 40 residents across Renfrew County and District hospitalized with the virus including four in the ICU. Another 149 local residents are isolating at home after testing positive for COVID-19.
COVID-19 outbreaks continue to be monitored at Valley Manor long-term care home in Barry’s Bay, Community Living – Upper Ottawa Valley, Bonnechere Manor long-term care home, Riverview Heights retirement home, Arnprior Villa, Marianhill long-term care home in Pembroke and the Columbus House.
ONTARIO UPDATE
The number of people with COVID-19 in Ontario hospitals is down to 1,342 patients today from 1,403 people on the previous day. There are 356 patients in intensive care units which is also down from 364 people the day before. There are 36 more COVID-19 deaths being reported today in Ontario.
