The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is reporting 30 local residents are in hospital with COVID-19 including four in the intensive care unit.
The health unit is reporting another 242 people are in self-isolation after testing positive for the virus.
Information was shared this afternoon (February 3rd, 2022), as part of the detailed weekly case summary released by the RCDHU.
The RCDHU is reporting outbreaks at two hospitals and eight other high-risk settings (including long-term care, retirement homes, and congregate living settings).
Information on the provincial website shows three residents in Renfrew County and District have died from COVID-19 in the last 14-days including two women over the age of 80 and another woman between 60 and 79-years-old.
While hospitalizations and ICU admissions remain high in Renfrew County and District, the number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 across Ontario is on the decline, down to 2,797 today from 2,939 the previous day.
