The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) says starting next month (February 1st, 2022), residents looking to book a COVID-19 vaccine are asked to do so through the provincial system.
No appointments are necessary as walk-ins are accepted for anyone 12 and older at all vaccine clinics across Renfrew County and District.
The RCDHU says walk-in availability for children 5-11 years of age varies based on pediatric vaccine supply so there are some benefits to booking.
The health unit says having an appointments may also give you a better sense of timing as your appointment slot is protected.
Anyone who does not have an Ontario Health Card and is unable to book their vaccination appointment online must call RCDHU’s COVID-19 Vaccination Information Line at 613-732-9436 or toll free at 1-833-773-0004.
Starting Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, residents can book an appointment through the Provincial COVID-19 vaccination portal or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1-833-943-3900.
To book an appointment before February 1st, you can use the local booking system.
