UPDATE: EXTREME COLD WARNING ISSUED
Be sure to bundle up, it’s going to be cold the next couple of days.
Environment Canada says temperatures will drop to minus 24 tonight, but with wind gusts up to 40 kilometers an hour it will feel like minus 31 overnight.
Friday morning (January 14th, 2022), it will feel like minus 37 in the morning with the wind chill and there is a risk of frostbite.
The extreme cold puts everyone at risk.
Be sure to cover up as frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.
Watch for cold related symptoms including shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.
