Another person in Renfrew County and District has died from COVID-19.
Information from the Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) released this afternoon (January 6th, 2022), shows a 16th person has died from COVID-19.
This is the fifth death linked to COVID-19 reported by the RCDHU in the last week (since December 30th, 2021).
Information about four of the deaths is available on the provinces website, showing two men between 60 and 79, a man over 80 and a woman over 80 have died from COVID-19 in the last week.
Public Health Ontario is reporting one of the COVID-19 hospitalizations in Renfrew County and District is a woman between 20 and 39 years old.
Seven of the local residents in hospital are between 60 and 79 years old and another four are over the age of 80.

The RCDHU is reporting another 27 cases of COVID-19 today.
With more people recovering from the virus, active cases in Renfrew County and District have dropped from 691 yesterday to 670 today.
