Renfrew Victoria Hospital has closed its doors to visitors due to both confirmed cases of COVID within the facility, and the threat of transmission from the greater community.
Visiting has been cancelled at RVH until further notice.
RVH is allowing certain exceptions: one designated essential caregiver/care partner per patient per day; those visiting patients at end of life; support for patients at Emerg if required; parents of children under the age of 12, other critical or urgent circumstances requiring a family presence or those who are essential to accompany patients to appointments or participate in the delivery of care.
All designated caregivers/care partners must be fully vaccinated unless exempt, and must pass COVID-19 screening prior to entering.
While it may be stressful, safety first are the operative words.
The Visiting policy is subject to further change based on public health guidance.
Please note that Emergency Department services continue as normal.
