The Town of Arnprior has had an investment policy since 2014, but at the Municipal Meeting of December 13th 2021, the Treasurer was given approval to roll the dice within the Equity Market.
Jennifer Morawiec says the idea is to broaden the range of investment options allowed based on recent legislative changes.
Morawiec is in charge of investing, under the delegation of authority bylaw, but makes those decisions in consultation with experts in the field.
The plan is to salt away fifteen percent of available long-term cash in the more volatile Equity Market as now authorized through changes in legislation.
