Due to increased demand for COVID-19 vaccines, the Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is opening a vaccination site at a former call centre in Pembroke.
The vaccination site for those over the age of 12 will be moved to 100 Crandall Street, in the west end of Pembroke, starting Thursday, December 23rd, 2021.
In the last week, the RCDHU says vaccination efforts in the community have doubled.
The clinic is being operated on behalf of RCDHU by the Pembroke Regional Hospital.
Over the next couple of weeks as that clinic ramps up, appointment availability for those
seeking COVID-19 vaccine appointments will nearly quadruple.
Andrew Keck the Manager of Healthy Communities and the COVID-19 Vaccination Program says you can expect to see increased appointment availability online in the coming days, with a significant number being opened up after Christmas and into the beginning of January.
Currently, everyone 18 years of age and over who received their second dose a minimum of 84 days ago is eligible to book an appointment for their third dose.
You can book your vaccine appointment online here.
