The Arnprior community was rocked by the Christmas-time closure of Sandvik Industries in 2019, but two years later its Mayor is hinting at better days to come.
In confirming the sale of the former Sandvik property, Walter Stack says there were some obstacles that a familiar local figure helped resolve.
The Mayor can’t give out details prematurely, but he’s excited that the property will once again become a jobs producer.
Stack says he’s been offered these words of hope from the property’s new owner.
An official announcement of the opportunities is expected in the first quarter of 2022.
Combined with yesterday’s announcement from McNab-Braeside that Wolf Industries will open a local presence in January, myFM can’t recall two consecutive positive jobs announcements being made in recent memory.
