UPDATE: FREEZING RAIN WARNING HAS ENDED
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning across Renfrew County and the Ottawa Valley.
Snow or ice pellets are expected to change to freezing rain with up to 2 mm of ice build up possible.
Environment Canada says the precipitation will transition to rain this afternoon as temperatures rise above zero.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
Freezing rain warning in effect for:
- Barry’s Bay – Killaloe
- Petawawa – Pembroke – Cobden
- Renfrew – Arnprior – Calabogie
