Do you have empty bottles and cans you want to get rid of?
The Renfrew County Junior Farmers can help.
The group is hosting their winter Bottle Drive on Saturday, December 4th, 2021.
President of the Renfrew County Junior Farmers Alex Wytenburg says they will be collecting bottles on Saturday, December 4th, to support the food banks in Cobden and Eganville.
Wytenburg says when they did their spring bottle drive, they raised $3,000 for the Bernadette McCann House in Pembroke.
He adds over 12,000 empties were collected the last bottle drive.
For those who don’t drink or have already returned their empties, Wytenburg says they will gladly take cash donations or you can make a donation directly to the food bank.
Collection of bottles and cans will be all across Renfrew County and extending into parts of Quebec. All you have to do is let the Renfrew County Junior Farmers know that you have empties and where you’re located.
For more details or to arrange collection, you can check out the Renfrew County Junior Farmers Facebook page or call Alex at 613-570-4682.
