Douglas Tavern’s final fundraising auction heavily involved a quilt that helped Renfrew Victoria Hospital receive thousands in donations.
Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation executive director, Patti Dillabough says a quilt that was auctioned off raised $4,300, which was given to the foundation.
Bonnechere Excavating Inc. then donated the quilt to tavern owners, Evelyn and Terry McHale as a thanks for their philanthropy efforts over the years.
The proceeds were used to buy wraps for hospital doors, for the safety of dementia patients.
