Since school resumed, the Renfrew and District Food Bank has been busy at work giving extra support to students from food-insecure households.
President Michael Wright says at the moment, the Food Bank is sending 96 students home with food for weekends.
Wright says the backpack program highlights the far-reaching aid the food bank provides to the community, which is why it’s important the organization continues to receive monetary donations.
