The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is aware of 16 active cases of COVID-19.
The RCDHU says three residents are in the hospital including one person who is currently in the intensive care unit.
The other 13 people who tested positive for the virus in the region are in self-isolation.
Earlier this week, the RCDHU declared a COVID-19 outbreak in Madawaska Valley after potential exposure at The Holy Canadian Martyrs Parish on the 26th of September.
