There was plenty to celebrate at Monday’s Arnprior Council meeting, and all demographics were recognized.
From long-service firefighter awards, to an accolade given out for Youth- which was won by the brother-sister team of Jack and Laura Couper, the municipality doesn’t lack for those striving to make the community a better place to live.
Mayor Walter Stack says the “ear-savers” device prevented wear and tear and/or irritation on many front-line workers lobes.
Stack says the importance of the Couper kids contribution cannot be underestimated.
The pair are students at St. Joseph’s School in Arnprior.
Jack is 11 years old, sister Laura is 7.
Pat Tait, co-ordinator at the Arnprior Food Bank, accepted Volunteer of the year honours on behalf of her dedicated crew.
