The Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment OPP is investigating a collision where the driver failed to remain at the scene.
Police say the collision was just before 4:30pm on Wednesday afternoon (October 6th) between White Water and Sawmill Roads along Highway 17 in Laurentian Valley.
The OPP says a grey Honda CRV was travelling westbound when it was struck by an eastbound dark coloured pick-up, which had crossed the centre line.
There was extensive damage to the CRV and it is believed there will be damage to the pick-up truck as well.
Luckily the occupants of the CRV were not injured.
With at least one other vehicle in the area at the time, police say the occupants may have witnessed the collision.
Investigators are seeking assistance from the public to identify the pick-up truck and its driver.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Renfrew County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or at www.valleytips.ca.
