The Canada Unity Convoy recently made a pit stop to the parking lot at the Antrim Truck Stop while on their way to deliver their message regarding opposition to Vaccination Passports. However, it should be noted that the local restaurant and the convoy group are not in a partnership.
In a social media post by Antrim Truck Stop, the business states “We did not participate or encourage the convoy. We simply treated them as we treat all customers, with respect, proof of vaccination was required for dining-in and mandatory masks for anyone entering our establishment. The convoy has moved on as they did not want to encourage the negativity we were receiving as a business and because we couldn’t allow them to camp or have a BBQ due to bylaws.”
The plans to deliver a memorandum of understanding to the duly constituted Canadian government- as soon as one is sworn in.
Oldies 107.7 spoke with Stuart Donaldson, of Sudbury, and Jelmer Zuidema from Listowel at the Arnprior Mall Friday morning.
Zuidema says don’t judge the Unity Convoy by what you hear on the radio or see on social media, join members this evening and see for yourself.
Donaldson says if the Canadian government signs the memo, it’s mission accomplished.
