It’s that time of the year when furnaces are relit at summer’s end, which means there’s an increased risk of residential fires.
This Fire Prevention Week, Renfrew fire chief, Kevin Walsh encourages residents to further fire-proof their homes.
Walsh adds tests have shown children are able to sleep through fire alarming, so it’s important for parents to familiarize their children to their sound.
