It’s been literally years in the making, but the official grand opening of the new and expanded Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior takes place Friday (is taking place today) at 2PM.
The facility has increased its long-term care capacity by 60 per cent, and is one of the first projects finished under a Provincial commitment to provide 36 thousand new or upgraded long term care spaces across Ontario.
It’s planned as an outdoor, socially-distanced event under a big tent with a long list of speakers celebrating the occasion, including Rod Phillips, Minister of Long-Term Care, local MPP John Yakabuski, Dr. Merrilee Fullerton, MPP, Kanata-Carleton (and former Minister of LTC), representatives of the ARH Board of Directors,
Eric Hanna, President & CEO, ARH, Glenn Arthur, Co-Chair of the Come Home to Great Care Campaign and
Maggie Harbert, President, ARH Auxiliary.
The resident move-in day is next Tuesday.
