The local public health unit is cracking down on people who have or suspected to have COVID-19.
The Renfrew County and District Health Unit orders these people to go into isolation for a 10-day period.
It applies to COVID positive people, people displaying symptoms who are awaiting the results of their tests, those displaying symptoms and people who are in close contact with a positive case.
Failure of adhering to the order could result in a fine of up to $5000 upon each day of violation.
