Organizers dedicated the proceeds of this year’s Valley Has Heart Golf event to Arnprior Regional Health,
and now that the objective for the Grove Nursing Home refurbishment has been met, Tournament originator Ed Reid says proceeds will be put toward much-needed specialty equipment for ARH.
Reid says a lot of people are talking about the Bald-for-Bucks challenge associated with the event; depending on amounts raised, he and co-organizer Glenn Arthur will do weird things to their normally grey heads-of-hair.
The first leg of the challenge was at the Madawaska Course last Saturday, and the event at the Mountain Creek links is on the 25th. For information, call the ARH Foundation Office at 613-623-3166.
