This is National Air Ambulance Week, and the event is being celebrated by Renfrew County Paramedics, who are saluting their ORNG Air Ambulance colleagues for the valuable work their partners do in expediting delivery of critically-ill patients to hospital by following the route a crow flies.
As far as we can tell, the commemoration of Air Ambulance Week first began in the United Kingdom in 2014, but has since grown to become an International observance wherever air ambulances fly.
Renfrew County Paramedics say they are proud to work alongside their flight paramedic colleagues, as well as the doctors, aircraft maintenance engineers and communication officers that make the service possible.
The nine-day week began September 4th and runs through September 12th.
