Local waterways will be busy on September 11th and 12th for the 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group’s Iron Warrior 2021 competition.
It’s a competition that tests endurance and strength and includes portaging, canoeing and a weighted ruck march.
This year’s format includes a change of the course location that’ll allow some of the competition to be held in publicly accessible areas of the Ottawa River, Petawawa Point Beach, Laurentian Drive, and Petawawa Civic Centre, adjacent to Scentral Bark dog park.
The public can expect lots of pedestrians and traffic caused by spectators and military staff in the area.
