Petawawa sprinter Austin Ingram is looking to win a medal at the Tokyo Paralympics.
Ingram will be competing in the T13 100-meter dash and will also be part of the 4×100-meter relay.
Ingram will race Saturday night (August 28th, 2021) in the 100-meter event with the race starting at 11:28 pm (eastern standard time).
The local athlete is running in the T13 category for athletes with moderate visual impairments.
Ingram is ranked in the top-10 in the world for the T13 100 meters and is looking to improve on his 4th place finish at the world championships in 2019 where he missed the podium by 0.01 seconds.
While Ingram has said he would be happy advancing to the finals at the Tokyo Paralympics, the runner from Petawawa says he has his eyes set on taking home a medal.
