Rogers Communications will be the presenting sponsor for the 2022 Ontario Winter Games that will be hosted in Renfrew County the weekends of February 25th to 27th and March 4th to 7th, 2022.
The winter games will see over 2,300 athletes and their families, and coaches come to the area.
Games Manager Cindy Burwell says most of our venues confirmed.
Burwell adds for most of these young athletes this will be their first serious competition since the beginning of COVID.
The senior director of service expansion at Rogers Communications, Sameer Sheth, says this partnership underscores the deep commitment to serving the communities of Eastern Ontario while working to deliver vital cellular connectivity to the region as part of the Eastern Ontario Regional Network Cell Gap Project.
Warden Debbie Robinson says the excitement of the Ontario Winter Games continues to grow in Renfrew County and has been embraced by many local volunteers.
Robinson adds they have been working diligently behind the scenes to make the 2022 Ontario Winter Games one to remember.
