A pair of runners from the Ottawa Valley came up short in Tokyo, but they showed tremendous courage. Melissa Bishop-Nriagu of Eganville ran a 2:02.11 and Madeleine Kelly of Pembroke posted a time of 2:02.39 in the women’s 800 meter heat last night. However, the final qualifying spot in the semi-finals for the event was 2:02.05.
