The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is reporting one new COVID-19 case this afternoon (July 28th, 2021).
This marks the only active case the RCDHU is currently aware of.
For a short time this week there was no active cases in Renfrew County and District.
The RCDHU has confirmed 756 confirmed cases, with 746 people who have recovered after testing positive for the virus and nine deaths.
While 80% of residents over the age of 12 have received their first dose and over 70% have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, roughly 18,000 eligible people have not booked an appointment.
The pop-up vaccination clinics have arrived in Renfrew County and District and will appear at Farmers Markets, schools, fairs and other community settings.
