UPDATE: OPP ARRESTS TWO MALES AT THE SCENE. NO NAMES ARE BEING RELEASED AT THIS TIME, BUT POLICE DO NOT BELIEVE THERE IS ANY RISK TO PUBLIC SAFETY. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS ASKED TO CONTACT THE KILLALOE OPP AT 1-888-310-1122 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 1-800-222- 8477 (TIPS).
OPP are currently investigating a possible stabbing incident at the Pine Tree Motel in Eganville around 6:30pm last night (Wednesday, July 21st, 2021).
Renfrew County Paramedics say that the 40-year-old victim was found unresponsive and after all efforts to save his life, he died a short time later.
Orange air ambulance was dispatched in but were called off.
No names have been released and we expect to hear more information from the OPP later today.
