The Government of Ontario is in the midst of releasing its return to campus protocols for the Province’s colleges and universities.
The Canadian Press reports that colleges and universities should prepare for all in-person classes and activities to resume this fall with no capacity limits or social distancing requirements.
The schools will still have flexibility to offer differing instruction modes, including virtual and hybrid models.
The Ministry of Colleges and Universities says it has told the institutions to contingency plans in the event of COVID-19 outbreaks, and must publish these by September.
The Government will have more to say on screening and cleaning in early August.
Colleges and universities are being encouraged to use rapid antigen testing for routine screening of asymptomatic people, as well as wastewater surveillance for levels of COVID-19.
