Low COVID case counts are prompting the Government of Quebec to revise its pandemic protocols.
As of Monday (July 12th), 52 new cases of the virus were identified province-wide, bringing the total number of people infected to 375,915- of whom 364,033 people have recovered and there were no new deaths reported.
9,467,386 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Québec.
To limit the spread of the coronavirus as much as possible, it is important to follow the basic preventive measures such as hand washing, social distancing, wearing a mask and following the instructions in effect in your region.
Two metres distance still applies in venues involving singing and exercising, but as of Monday one only has to stay one metre away from another, and while there are now no capacity limits in stores, retailers will have to keep an eye distance is being maintained.
Where audiences gather in fixed-seating venues such as theatres, an empty place will be required between patrons not of the same household.
Spectators at sporting venues will be restricted to 50 persons indoors and 100 people outside unless the gathering is at a large facility hosting a festival or outside event- in which case 5000 people will be allowed to attend.
