A Ministerial Override Order and location, location, location could kick-start industrial development in McNab-Braeside in advance of four-laning Highway 17 through the Township.
Mayor Tom Peckett says he received confirmation on the first piece of the puzzle late Wednesday, when he received an email from the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Steve Clark.
Peckett says six agricultural-related manufacturers based in Germany will be relocating portions of their business to the Township and setting up shop at two locations in his community.
The Mayor says a prime consideration is the relative equal distance to markets in both Toronto and Montreal.
While the estimated five-hundred local jobs the news could create mean the project is the largest the Mayor has worked on in his political career, he says stay tuned- this may only be the beginning.
