Following complaints of over-crowding at McNab-Braeside beaches last summer, and recent revelations about insanitary behaviour of visitors at the White Lake Beach in particular, Township Mayor Tom Peckett says there’s been a major course-correction.
Peckett says the changes, enforced this past weekend (the weekend of June 12-13th), met with positive response from residents.
The Mayor says the Township’s beaches are open to everyone, but last year’s honour system is now being given a helping hand.
There’s a 28 car capacity limit at the White Lake Beach- and parking restrictions along Highway 508 at Burnstown are now more rigidly enforced.
