The Canada Healthy Communities Initiative has come through in a big way for the Township of McNab-Braeside.
Mayor Tom Peckett says a hidden gem on White Lake Road is the beneficiary.
The application was made back in February to a Federal program that had dedicated 31 million dollars nationally to transform public spaces to help relieve the stresses caused by COVID-19.
Peckett says work on the gardens project will begin this month.
There will be a soft opening this summer, and a grand opening later on when all of the amenities are in place.
