Renfrew County is getting closer to having its own Ontario Health Team after handing in its submission to the province.
Ontario Health Teams are part of the province’s health care overhaul that went into effect when the Progressive Conservatives took the reins from the Liberals.
Renfrew’s OHT doesn’t have a name yet but will include a cluster of hospitals, long-term care and paramedic partners, among others.
OHT’s are meant to reduce silos in the healthcare field and offer patients seamless access to services.
