It’s the 29th anniversary for a popular Ottawa Valley event, and the only difference is this year’s Madawaska Valley Studio Tour is that visitors must adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols.
The artists, craftspeople and makers of the Madawaska Valley Studio Tour invite you on a journey to explore the creative landscape of the region.
Over two weekends, July 16th-18th and October 1st-3rd, dozens of studios will open their doors giving visitors a unique opportunity to meet local artisans, learn about their creative process and purchase high-quality handmade products directly.
Participants include painters, potters, jewellers, fibre and glass artists and woodworkers as well as a toy maker, basket maker, blacksmith, knifesmith, candlemaker, a tie dye artist and maker of natural skin care products.
You can read more about each artist at madawaskastudiotour.com where you can also download the map and directions to studio locations.
The self-guided tour is free and you can drive to as many locations as you want.
Studios are open all 3 days – Friday to Sunday – from 10am to 5pm on the weekends of July 16th-18th and October 1st-3rd.
